Union Pacific's yard in Alexandria, Louisiana was a former MP (and T&P) facility, but by the summer of 1988 almost all of the locomotives here were yellow! On the front track are SD40-2 3931 and U23B 558 -- both former MP units -- with SD60's 6030 and 6047, and out of sight to the right were UP B30-7A 227, yellow MP B30-7A 4811 and blue MP GP38-2 2188. On the next track are UP GP38-2 2165, EMD Leasing GP38-2 789, UP B23-7 160 and GP38-2 2124. |
