On the weekend of 4-5 May 1984 Amtrak hosted the GREAT AMERICAN RAIL ROADSHOW at New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal. The event included about 40 pieces of equipment representing almost all of the city's railroads. From left to right, here were Amtrak display car 10092, Union Pacific SD40-2 3753 (coupled to MP SD40-2 3270), Southern Pacific SD45R 7499, Illinois Central Gulf GP11 8727, Superliner sleeper 32041 and Heritage Fleet sleeper 2458. |
