SP U33C 8792
You wouldn't know it from looking at this set of power; but we were along the Louisville & Nashville at the Read Boulevard grade crossing, a few miles east of the railroad's Gentilly Yard in New Orleans. SP U33C 8792 was heading east and running light with Southern SD45 3130 and SD35 3040, on their way to get a train which had been parked on the long siding east of the yard because SP couldn't accept it. This was a very common occurrence back then!
