| Almost all of the Missouri Pacific's 85 B23-7's received 100-series Union Pacific numbers when they were relettered for the UP, but this unit retained its MP number until it became UP 179 in April 1986. The locomotive was on a set of transfer power in the New Orleans Public Belt's East Bridge Yard. |
