| These yard buildings were near the west end of the Espee's Lafayette Yard, at the former Sunbeam Lane grade crossing. From left to right they were the (1) communications building, (2) yard office, (3) freight office, (4) trainmen's locker room, (5) switchmen's and carmen's locker rooms, and (6) maintenance-of-way motor car shed. The yard office building had offices for the operator and the yardmaster, while the freight office building -- which was actually an extension of the yard office -- included the trainmaster's office and a conference room. |
