Amtrak 6-section/6-roomette/4-double-bedroom sleeper 2152 SILVER HYACINTH was photographed at New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal on the PANAMA LIMITED. This was a regular assignment, and the car's open sections were used as dormitory space. The car had been built by Budd in September 1952 as CB&Q 462 for service on the AMERICAN ROYAL ZEPHYR. |
