| On the last day of daily operation, the eastbound SUNSET was rolling into the station at Lafayette, Louisiana with its usual 4-car consist and some deadheading cars. From now on, the train would operate tri-weekly; but its consist would include a dining car and a sleeper, amenities which had been absent for a few years. |
