This was LAMBERT JUNCTION in suburban New Orleans, where the New Orleans Public Belt - on the right - crossed the Illinois Central Gulf in the foreground. Right on the other side of that new building, by that silver relay box - a single Kansas City Southern track also crossed the ICG. The only thing left here since the late 1990's has been on ICG (CN) track and a connection with the KCS. |
