Eastbound Run-Through Train         
Six engines representing five models and three railroads were on this eastbound train operating over the Southern Railway’s New Orleans Terminal Co. subsidiary at Elysian Fields Avenue. This was a run-through train from the Southern Pacific at Houston to the Louisville & Nashville’s GENTILLY YARD in New Orleans. There, a part of the train would continue on to Birmingham while the rest would head for Jacksonville via the Seaboard Coast Line. The locomotives were SP GP35 6631, SSW GP20 4035, SSW GP30 5009, SP U25B 6717, L&N GP40 3002 and L&N GP40 3022. (approximate date of photo)
