| The Illinois Central Gulf’s SHORELINE BRANCH LOCAL was northbound on the former Gulf Mobile & Ohio main line at Florenville, Louisiana -- on its way from Covington to Bogalusa -- and GM&O caboose 2952 was about to pass under Louisiana State Highway 36. Caboose 2952 had been built by the International Car Co. in 1965 and was subsequently ICG (and Chicago Central) 199042 before being scrapped in 1998. The railroad here was abandoned in 1994.
