IC 4-8-2 2405         
Illinois Central 4-8-2 2405 was parked at the railroad’s GOVERNMENT YARD in New Orleans, just north of Union Station. It was one of 15 Mountains built for the IC by Alco’s Schenectady Works (64574) in October 1923 and was retired in February 1960, near the very end of steam operations on the IC. The loco on the left was 0-6-0 295.
