Amtrak Train No. 1         
Amtrak train No. 1 – the westbound SUNSET LIMITED – was awaiting its 1 a.m. departure from New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal behind Southern Pacific FP7 6457, F7B units 8290 and 8294, and FP7 6459. The 11-car train consisted of baggage car 1102, sleeper 2013 ORIOLE (being used as a dormitory car), high-level coaches 9920, 9943, 9932 and 9900, lounge car 3360, Northern Pacific dining car 463, and sleepers 2351 REGAL INN, 2780 CUMBERLAND COUNTY and Southern 2016 ST. JOHNS RIVER. Notice the missing icicle breaker on the engineer’s side of the 6457.
