DCTA 106
The hub of operations for Texas’ Denton County Transportation Authority is the DOWNTOWN DENTON TRANSIT CENTER, which serves buses, vans and A-LINE trains. The A-LINE operates over 21 miles of former MKT Denton Subdivision right-of-way from the DDTC to a connection with Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s GREEN LINE at Trinity Mills Station in Carrollton. A-LINE railcar 106 is one of 11 model GTW 2/6 diesel multiple unit sets built for DCTA by Stadler Rail in Switzerland. GTW is the German abbreviation for Gelenktriebwagen, or articulated railcar.
