DCTA DDTC
The hub of operations for Texas’ Denton County Transportation Authority is the DOWNTOWN DENTON TRANSIT CENTER, which serves buses, vans and A-LINE trains. The A-LINE operates over 21 miles of former MKT DENTON SUBDIVISION right-of-way from the DDTC to a connection with Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s GREEN LINE at Trinity Mills Station in Carrollton. The Denton Subdivision ran 36 miles from Denton to Dallas. A-LINE railcar 106 is one of 11 model GTW 2/6 diesel multiple unit railcars built for DCTA by Stadler Rail in Switzerland. GTW is the German abbreviation for Gelenktriebwagen, or articulated railcar. The tall buildings on the left are on the campus of Texas Woman’s University.
