But in 1975, both railroads assigned brand new EMD switchers to yard and transfer service around New Orleans. Here, 2-month old SP MP15AC's 2705 and 2706 on an eastbound transfer run meet 8-month old MP MP15DC 1549 -- along with GP18 1963, MP15DC 1551 and GP38-2's 2060 and 2075 -- on a westbound grain train. |
