Kansas City Southern GP40 751 was parked at

, just outside of New Orleans. It had been built in October 1968 as Penn Central 3174 (EMD 34615) and was acquired by the KCS in January 1984, after its initial 15-year lease expired. It was renumbered 4753 in early and was sent it to Morrison- Knudsen’s
BOISE LOCOMOTIVE SHOP
in September 1991 as partial payment for remanufacturing 16 GP40M-2’s into GP40’s 4780-4795. M-K remanufactured it into New Jersey Transit GP40PH-2 4147 in March 1993.
