This Missouri Pacific transfer run was eastbound on the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad at Jackson Avenue, on its way from the MP’s AVONDALE YARD to its RACE STREET YARD. The train was powered by Louisville & Nashville U23B 2703 (originally Monon 604) and GP30 1033, and it would eventually make its way to the L&N’s GENTILLY YARD. (approximate date of photo) |
