UP 6923 and 6962
Title:  UP 6923 and 6962
Description:  Freshly-remanufactured Union Pacific AC4400CWM units 6923 and 6962 were on the Wabtec test track just north of the builder’s plant at Fort Worth. The 6923 was still in primer, but wore temporary reflective yellow frame stripes. It is not very common for units to test in primer, but this has happened before. The locomotives had been built as 7500-series AC6000CW units and were renumbered when they were repowered with 4400-horsepower prime movers.

BNSF Train U WEGHKX0 32T
Title:  BNSF Train U WEGHKX0 32T
Description:  This view looking north from Harmonson Road in Justin, Texas illustrates the relationship between the BNSF (former ATSF) main line and the north end of the Wabtec (former GE) test track. On the left was BNSF U WEGHKX0 32T, a unit rock track from White Eagle, Oklahoma to Hicks, Texas with C44-9W units 5251 and 741; while on the right were freshly-remanufactured Union Pacific AC4400CWM 6962 and 6951. Both of these UP units had been built as AC6000CW locos. Harmonson Road is about one-half mile south from the north end of the Wabtec test track, one mile north of the Wabtec-BNSF interchange and 2½ miles north of Wabtec’s Fort Worth plant.
