New BNSF ET44AC 3649 was on the Wabtec test track at Justn, Texas – just north of the builder’s Fort Worth plant – along with Canadian National (former BNSF) C44-9W’s 4562, 4494, 4470, 4513, 4570, 4560, 4584 and Union Pacific SD40N 1601. The 1601 had recently received Wabtec’s LXA (LOCOTROL Expanded Architecture) remote control equipment at Metro East Industries in St. Louis and was at Fort Worth for some testing. The blue unit on the left was Norfolk Southern AC4400CW 3966 (former CEFX 1026), inbound on the BNSF-Wabtec interchange. |
