GM&O Engines
Title:  GM&O Engines
Description:  Four months after the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio was merged into the Illinois Central Gulf, things hadn't changed much at Bogalusa; but this wouldn't last long. All of the GM&O RS2's were retired between 1973 and 1975, mostly replaced with GP10's; and the GM&O GP38's moved to other parts of the ICG. (month OK, approximate day)

GM&O GP38 713
Title:  GM&O GP38 713
Description:  Although owned by the Illinois Central Gulf for almost 14 years, this GP38 still looked like a Gulf Mobile & Ohio locomotive. It would eventually become ICG 9532 and then Atlanta & St. Andrews Bay second 500.

ICG Mays Yard
Title:  ICG Mays Yard
Description:  Five locomotives, wearing four different paint schemes, were gathered around the engine house at the Illinois Central Gulf’s MAYS YARD, just west of New Orleans. In the front were GP38 713, still in its original Gulf Mobile & Ohio colors, coupled to ICG GP40 3039. Behind them were solid orange GP10 8229 with orange-and-gray GP11 8708, and behind them was a glimpse of an unidentified orange-and-white loco.
