Having been displaced by new locomotives, Amtrak E8A 368 (UP 929), FP7 493 (SP 6454) and FP7 492 (SP 6453) were stored at New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal. The 368 was retired at New Orleans in 1981, while the two F-units left the roster in 1980. All three were sold for scrap to Precision National Corp. |
