Title:  GM&O S2 1005
Description:  Two and a half years before the Illinois Central-Gulf Mobile & Ohio merger, GM&O 1005 was photographed at Mobile. The locomotive was assigned ICG number 1054, but all of the GM&O's 27 Alco switchers were retired without being renumbered.

Title:  GM&O S2 1006
Description:  The year after the Illinois Central and the Gulf Mobile & Ohio merged into the ICG, GM&O S2 number 1006 was switching at Meridian. Although it had been assigned ICG number 1055, none of the GM&O's fifteen S1's or twelve S2's were ever repainted for the ICG, and all were retired by March 1975. (approximate date of photo)
