Description:  Westbound Kansas City Southern train M-ARSH was crossing Mulberry Street in Tallulah. This Artesia, Mississippi to Shreveport, Louisiana mixed freight was powered by AC4400CW 4584 and GP38-2 1907 on the front, with ES44AC 4707 pushing on the rear.

Title:  Twelve KCS Units
Description:  At 7:30 on this Monday morning, a dozen units were gathered around the KCS engine terminal at West Yard. GP38-2 4004 was with the 4012 and GP40 778, NW2's 4222 and 4211 were seperated by a bulkhead flat car, GP30 4119 was with the 4112 and 4101, recently-acquired GP38-2 4014 (ex-B&M 202) was with the 4009 and GP40 757, and GP30 4103 was in the engine house.

KCS Bridge 1
Title:  KCS Bridge 1
Description:  KCS GP38-2's 4009 and 4001 power southbound train across the Red River Bridge into Alexandria. The train had 43 cars and no caboose. The bridge, which included a swing span, was built by the American Bridge Co. in 1901 for the Louisiana Railway & Navigation Co. The Kansas City Southern stopped using it in late January 1996, upon completion of a new high-level fixed bridge six miles south of here at Latanier; and it was dismantled in early April 1996.

Title:  SBD Y104 and KCS No. 53 (1)
Description:  Seaboard System yard job Y105 was bringing Kansas City Southern train No. 53 into their GENTILLY YARD in New Orleans. No. 53 originated on the KCS in Dallas, and was handled by a Norfolk Southern crew for about six miles between the KCS and the SBD. No. 53 was powered by GP38-2 4010 and GP40's 748, 792 and 760. The photo was taken from the cab of Southern Pacific SD45R 7409 on job Y104.

KCS 4017, 4014 and 4015 were previously B&M 206, 202 and 204. All of these units wore 'STOP... for Safety' cab emblems promoting the Safety Training Observation Program.
