Description:  Seaboard System No. 522 arrives in Flomaton, Alabama for a meet with two southbound trains. It's locomotives are GP40 6742 and GP16 4627. The track on the left is the beginning of the PD Subdivision to Pensacola. No. 522, and its southbound counterpart 523, were daily jobs between Mobile and Montgomery. Known on the M&M Sub-Division as the "House Freights," they normally performed setouts and pickups at Georgiana, Brewton, Flomaton and Bay Minette.

Description:  Seaboard System train No. 522 - with GP40 6742 and GP16 4627 - was meeting No. 613 - with SD45-2's 3612 and 3617 (both in Clinchfield black) and SD45 2018. On the right was the Flomaton Switcher, U23B 2810, and visible above the switcher's cab was the concrete coaling tower which straddles the two main tracks.

Title:  SBD GP40 6756
Description:  This was Seaboard System local Extra 6756 North, the Bay Turn out of Gentillly Yard in New Orleans. The train was called the Bay Turn because it was advertised between Gentilly and Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; but it sually spent the entire day switching industries at Michoud, about six miles east (railroad north) of Gentilly. The local was photographed from SD40 8340 on train M571.

Title:  SBD GP40 6821
Description:  Seaboard System GP40 6821 was sitting on an eastbound (timetable north) train at the former Louisville & Nashville GENTILLY YARD in New Orleans. The locomotive had been built as L&N 3025 in September 1967, and was subsequently CSX 6821. After it was retired by CSX Morrison-Knudsen remanufactured it as Virginia Railway Express GP39-2C V07 and later it moved west to become Utah Transit Authority 901.

SBD Train 402
Title:  SBD Train 402
Description:  Seaboard System train No. 402 prepares to leave the former L&N Gentilly Yard behind former L&N GP40 6821, SCL U36B's 1832 and 1834, ex-L&N GP40 6807 and former Georgia GP40 6790. This was a run-through train from Houston to Jacksonville via the Espee, and was briefly identified as FNSJA when this photo was taken.
