SCL 1740, SBD 2719, and SBD 6028
Title:  SCL 1740, SBD 2719, and SBD 6028
Description:  Seaboard System New Orleans-Birmingham train No. 470 crosses the Rigolets Drawbridge, 26 miles east of Gentilly Yard in New Orleans. The Rigolets is a pass which connects Lake Pontchartrain -- off to the right -- with the Gulf of Mexico on the left, and the New Orleans city limit is on the far shore. The slide was taken through the windshield of a helicopter, which explains the poor quality of the image.

Title:  8:45 A.M.
Description:  Former L&N U23B 2810 was working as the FLOMATON SWITCHER at the north end of the Seaboard System's Flomaton yard. The coal tower was built in 1943 and stradles the two main tracks, but it saw less than ten years of use before steam disappeared from this part of the L&N.
