Description: |
Arkansas Louisiana & Mississippi GP28 1812 qas showing off it new Genesee & Wyoming Inc. paint scheme at Bastrop, Louisiana. The locomotive had been built as Illinois Central 9429 (serial no. 28937) in March 1963 and was later Illinois Central Gulf 9429. ICG sold it to the Ashley Drew & Northern in December 1983 and it was renumbered AD&N 1812 in May 1984. It became Arkansas Louisiana $ Mississippi 1812 after the AD&N was abandoned in June 1996. |
