| This was Alco 77053, an S2 built in March 1950 as Illinois Terminal 709. It was subsequently Illinois Terminal 1010, Washington-Western 1010, and Washington-Western 476. The Illinois Central Gulf branch which served Clifton was abandoned in 1980, and several W-W locomotives were subsequently sold to Relco (Railway Equipment Leasing Co.) of Joliet, Illinois in 1981. |
