Ringling 148
This was car 148 on the 1975 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey blue train. It was originally New York Central 12-double-bedroom sleeper 10508 PORT OF NEW YORK, built by Pullman-Standard as a Plan 4125 car in Lot 6790. It was placed in service on 22 April 1949, withdrawn from Pullman lease on 1 July 1958, and sold to Ringling in 1968. The car was photographed in the Illinois Central Gulf's Poydras Yard. At that time, the Ringling cars did not wear any reporting mark.

Jerry LaBoda General Following published reports of RBX trains during this period this should be NYC 10501 PORT BYRON. 7/10/2016 7:16:13 PM
Michael Palmieri General My notebook from back then had car 147 as PORT BYRON ! and 148 as PORT OF NEW YORK ! The exclamation point behind each name meant that I found proof of this on each car, probably a name plate on a door. 7/12/2016 11:34:44 AM
