| Southern Pacific engineer A.V. Harper was standing in front of FP7 6458 at the Lafayette, Louisiana depot. Mr. Harper had just brought the last daily SUNSET LIMITED in from New Orleans. The train was made up of the 6458 and 6457, baggage car 6777, automat 10613, and coaches 2242 and 2369. Beginning the next day, the train would only run three times a week, but it would regain a sleeping car and a diner which had been discontinued in early 1966. |
