| Southern Pacific 10-section / 1-drawing-room / 2-compartment sleeper 8187 LAKE SUTHERLAND was parked in Shreveport Union Station during February 1954, probably on No. 27, the overnight train to Houston. The car had been built in September 1926 as a plan 3585A, was sold to the SP in 31 December 1948 and became Ferrocarril del Pacífico 209 GONZALES BOCANEGRA in May 1958. It was one of 21 SP Plan 3585A cars sold to the FCP in 1958. Train Nos. 27 left Shreveport for the last time on 25 September 1955. (approximate date of photo) |
