This Mogul was one of a gsoup of 15 2-6-0's built by Baldwin in June 1912 as Southern Pacific Lines 500-514. In December 1949, the entire group was renumbered 685-699; and in May 1950 they were renumbered again, to 460-474. Here at
ALGIERS YARD
, the 468 shows evidence of its most recent renumbering. All of these locomotives lasted for at least 40 years, being retired between June 1952 and January 1957. This loco was sold to Houston Compressed Steel on 2 February 1955. (approximate date)
