Title:  L&NW GP7 50
Description:  Newly-rebuilt and freshly-painted Louisiana & North West GP7 50 was parked outside the railroad’s shop at Gibsland, Louisiana. The locomotive had been built in June 1953 as Union Pacific 711, was renumbered UP 111 in November 1953, retired in July 1979 and used as a trade-in to General Electric on 13 March 1980. GE sold it to the Louisiana & North West in January 1981, where it was rebuilt into L&NW 50 and was completed the day before this photo was taken.

Description:  Louisiana & North West GP7 50, F7a 47, and caboose 215 sit outside the railroad's diesel shop. Yellow GP7 number 52 in on an adjacent track. It still painted in the colors of its former owner, the South Central Arkansas Railroad.

Title:  L&NW GP7 50
Description:  Louisiana & North West GP7 number 50 and F7A 46 were parked outside the railroad’s diesel shop at Gibsland, Louisiana. The 50 was built in June 1953 as Union Pacific 711, and was later renumbered UP 111. After it was retired it was traded-in to General Electric, and the L&NW bought it from GE in 1981. F7A 46 was built in July 1952 as Southern Pacific 6378. After it was traded-in to GE it became Wellsville Addison & Galeton 2100 in 1968 and then L&NW 46. It went to the Golden Gate Railroad Museum in March 2000.

Description:  Louisiana & North West GP7 52 was photographed near the railroad’s diesel shop in Gibsland, Louisiana. The locomotive had been built in June 1950 as Chesapeake & Ohio 5716 and was subsequently Chicago South Shore & South Bend 1501, then South Central Arkansas 1501 before going to the L&NW.

Description:  Louisiana & North West GP7 53 was photographed near the railroad’s diesel shop in Gibsland, Louisiana on 5 February 2005. The locomotive had been built in January 1951 as Santa Fe 2666, was rebuilt by the ATSF as the 2152 in February 1979, and went to the L&NW in 1989.

Description:  Here were Louisiana & North West GP9 4163, GP7 4153 and caboose 215 parked near the railroad's engine house at Gibsland. The two geeps has had been built as Kansas City Southern 163 and 153, and were sold to the L&NW in 1987. The 4163 was in the process of being rebuilt and getting a chopped nose, when the L&NW abandoned this project. The railroad purchased already-rebuilt ATSF GP7 2152 in 1989 and it became L&NW 53.
