Title:  NOPB SW1500 151
Description:  New Orleans Public Belt SW1500 number 151 was heading uprive| (westbound) with a train at the foot of Canal street. The Louisville & Nashville's passenger station - which was featured in the opening scene of the movie A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE - had been located where the electrical substation is; but very little fere looks the same. For example, the RIVERGATE convention center on the far left was was torn down and replaced ith Harrah's Casino; while the monument in front of it, which commemorated the BATTLE OF LIBERTY PLACE, was subsequently removed. (approximate day)

Description:  New Orleans Public Belt SW1500 152 was in the railroad’s COTTON WAREHOUSE YARD. The locomotive had been built in August 1971 and was overhauled by Birmingham Rail & Locomotive in 2001, at which time it received at larger fuel tank and was named MARDI GRAS. It was renumbered 1502 and lost its name in 2008, then it was retired in 2020 and sold to S&S Sales & Leasing as SSRX 1502.

Description:  New Orleans Public Belt SW1500 153 and SW1000 106 were parked at the railroad's engine terminal. The locomotive behind the 153 was Progress Rail SW900 8708, which was leased from this month through April 2000. It was originally Reading 1508 and then Conrail 8708.
