The 8-car train was powered by an A-B-A set of E-units, led by E9A 4038, and included one of the IC’s six former Missouri Pacific dome cars on the rear. |

Beat-up Illinois Central (actually ICG) E9A 4038, along with Amtrak E9B 450 and E8A 208, raised some dust as they accelerated the northbound PANAMA LIMITED out of New Orleans. The train was at Shrewsbury Road, near East Bridge Junction, and the overpass in the background is Causeway Boulevard. |
